Paul Brugger, the Founder and CEO of TIC Ltd received international recognition at the IATA (International Air Transport Association) Global Passenger Innovation Awards in San Diego, California, USA, last weekend for BizTweet, a brand new software solution. Brugger, who is a participant on the New Frontiers Phase 2 Programme, which is delivered in CIT's Rubicon Centre, developed BizTweet to enable large corporations to send personalised messages via Twitter to customers without requiring teams of people to craft every message. Brugger presented his business proposition to 350 delegates at the World Passenger Symposium, an event which is billed as the premier “must attend” event in the aviation industry. His BizTweet product beat off competition from more than 70 applicants from around the world to secure second place overall, and in the process claimed a prize fund of $15,000. BizTweet works by analysing individual customer data and utilising social decisioning software to bridge the gap between automation and personalisation. It enables airlines to enhance passenger communication, crisis communication and the overall customer experience which in turn increases customer loyalty. Speaking of BizTtweet and his award, Paul Brugger said, "social media is a very time consuming activity, particularly for large corporations like airlines that want to communicate to millions of customers. Many of these businesses have large dedicated social media teams. BizTweet enables corporations to communicate in a scalable and effective manner via social media in real time He continued, “The Rubicon Centre and the New Frontiers Programme have been instrumental in helping me get this far. I knew my software was world class and eradicates a painpoint for large companies that want to pro-actively communicate to their customers and this award certainly proves this. The New Frontiers team have helped me take it to the next level by showcasing BizTweet on the world stage so it is certainly onwards and upwards from here!” Peter Finnegan, New Frontiers Programme Manager, stated that “such an accolade will act as an endorsement from influencers in the aviation industry as to the global potential of the BizTweet Solution. It is a remarkable achievement for a small company and is testament to the strengths of both the solution that has been developed and the promoter.” For more info log on to www.tic.ie
