digitalforge-10gb-launch_28comp Faster Broadband to Create New Jobs for West Cork   Digitalforge, West Cork's premier home phone and broadband supplier has this week launched its fastest ever 10GB fibre connection for its 2,000 customers throughout the region. The connection on Mount Gabriel is the latest step by Digital Forge to get high speed fibre connectivity directly to the heart of their ever expanding network which allows hundreds of customers receive high speed broadband in areas which would otherwise be unconnected.   Digtalforge which was founded by husband and wife team Brendan and Jane Hurley in 2004 has grown its network from a wireless high speed connection which was bounced from hill to hill from Cork Airport to West Cork to the fastest wireless connectivity speeds available anywhere outside of Dublin. The launch of Digitalforge's 10GB connection offers West Cork customers the fastest speeds by any provider in the area and would allow a Google or Facebook type business to be headquartered from the top of Mount Gabriel. The company has worked tirelessly over the past twelve months to upgrade its existing infrastructure and has invested more than €250,000 to achieve the 10GB speeds which are unheard of for even the largest players in the market. Digitalforge customers can now enjoy entry level speeds of 30MB and will allow entrepreneurs throughout the region to successfully set up businesses or work remotely and service clients on an international scale. Speaking of the launch of its 10GB fibre connection, Brendan Hurley, MD, Digitalforge says, "We started this business when we realised the need for a service like Digital Forge in West Cork in 2004. Having worked for international technology companies in London, New York and New Zealand it was unbelievable to me that people putting up with connections that were slower than dial up and paying for the privilege. It is still inconceivable that in 2016 some people in West Cork are still putting up with this lack of service which may be exacerbated further with the rollout of the National Broadband plan which may see over 100,000 people throughout Ireland left with no connection and may well put independent broadband providers like ourselves out of business."   Also speaking of the new 10gb connection, Jane Hurley said, "We are really excited to be in a position to offer this amazing service to existing and new customers in West Cork. Our new speeds allow us the capacity to provide connectivity to larger enterprises such as IT companies and hotels. We can now provide the highest quality service level, 99.99 percent uptime and uncontended services for the best value, something which will help our business grow long in to the future and also create new jobs both directly and indirectly in West Cork."
