10 New Jobs for BNI Global Office in Mayo

BNI, the world's largest business referral organisation has announced 10 new jobs for Castlebar with the opening of its first global office outside of the US.  An Taoiseach Enda Kenny officially opened the new global office on Saturday 20th February which marks the largest jobs announcement for BNI in Ireland which already hires six people in its current regional bases in Mayo and Westmeath.   BNI was founded by Dr. Ivan Misner in 1985 and today has over 192,000 members worldwide. The new global office in Mayo will oversee worldwide operations in 67 countries, guiding almost 4,000 groups and 110,000 members in generating more business.  BNI helped entrepreneurs generate $9.3billion worth of business last year alone, with its 1,000 Irish members generating €45.2million. Taoiseach Enda Kenny speaking at the official opening of the new BNI Global Office in Castlebar said, "BNI Ireland is a great example of how a regional base can expand to become a global player. Not only is the West a fantastic gateway for doing business in Europe, this office is proof that it is also a great base from which to conduct business on a global scale. I congratulate Andy, Sandra and their team and look forward to seeing them continue to grow and prosper long in to the future."   Speaking at the official office opening which marks the biggest jobs boost for BNI in Ireland, Sandra Hart, Executive Director, Ireland South & West and Director of European Affairs said "Today is a big day for BNI Ireland and for the Castlebar region in general. With 6 people already employed here we are excited about finding new colleagues to fill roles across a number of areas including legal, global member services, accounting and operations. We are proud to be among the fastest growing countries for BNI in the world here in Europe and delighted to be in a lead position to work with other offices throughout the world."
