Ten of Cork's top health and wellness professionals will host a special expo on Saturday 27th September in Wilton's S.M.A Hall in aid of Dogs for the Disabled. The event will highlight the importance of a healthy lifestyle with guests invited to avail of screenings and assessments from 11am to 4pm.
Some of Cork's foremost healthcare professionals will be on hand to personally meet with the public and address issues from dental health, fitness, chiropractic care, weight loss, yoga, detoxing and eco friendly cleaning solutions.
Among those present on the day will be Dr. Benjamin Martin, Optimal Chiropractic Ballincollig who will speak about the benefits of spinal care in relation to the health of your body. Dr. Martin who is one of a small number of chiropractors in the country to use the Activator Method - a gentle chiropractic treatment technique will be joined by Dr. John Seward, Dentist who specialises in "ozone dentistry", a therapy which eliminates the need for drilling and anaesthetics with the use of activated oxygen molecules. Other speaker will include Bibi Mulcahy, Zest4Life weight loss and nutrition, who will present on healthy eating habits and weight loss programs, Dennehy's Health and Fitness, specialising in one on one personal training, and eco friendly cleaning products from JSK Cleaning.
Speaking of the expo Dr. Benjamin Martin said, "We are very much looking forward to the event on the 27th. All too often we can put our health to one side as we get caught up with work and life but to ensure that we can live longer and healthier we need to focus on how we can improve our well being and this is what the event is all about. I also hope that it will allow us to raise much needed funds for Dogs for the Disabled who do amazing work in improving the lives of children and adults with physical disabilities."
Entry to the event is just €5 with all proceeds going directly to the charity.
