Irish rowing Olympic hopefuls Gary and Paul O'Donovan launch the Skibbereen Credit Union online banking app

Olympic Duo Launch App to Keep Finances Accessible from the River to Rio    Skibbereen Credit Union has launched its new free online banking service and app which will allow 14,000 members to access their accounts online at any time. It is the first Credit Union in West Cork to offer the service to its members.   Olympic hopefuls Gary and Paul O'Donovan launched the app which gives members full access to their accounts while also allowing them to transfer money from their bank to their credit union account, pay bills and make online loan applications 24 hours a day.   Speaking of the new service, Donal O'Driscoll, Manager, Skibbereen Credit Union said, "We are delighted to offer our members this service which will make banking with Skibbereen Credit Union even more convenient. Mobile banking is displacing online banking with almost half of online banking payments now made on smartphones and tablets. Our mobile banking app is an absolute necessity for us to remain competitive and is just one new initiative we are rolling out to help make life easier for our members who may not always be able to make it to the branch during normal opening hours."   The Skibbereen Credit Union app is available for Android and Apple smartphones and can be downloaded for free from the Playstore or Apple Store.
